Event date:
12 Oct 2019

18 months' on from the first training session for the Defibrillator/AED/PAD that is installed at the pub, we are pleased to offer a further training session for those who were not able to attend last year and for those that did attend last year but feel they need to refresh their skills. The training session will be as follows:

Saturday morning, 12th October 2019, in the Beckley Village Hall, starting at 9:30am (doors open from 9:00am)

The session will again be run by Dick Tracey (ex South Central Ambulance Service and a prime mover in encouraging the acquisition and use of community defibs/AEDs). Dick will cover the following topics: What cardiac arrest is and how to recognise it; The recovery position; CPR; Safe use of a defibrillator. Dick will bring manikins and a training defibrillator so you can practice your skills. Sue Hampshire (Director of Clinical and Service Development at the Resuscitation Council) will also attend to help Dick with the training.

Please email info@bacbs.org if you would like to attend so that we can manage numbers. (There is a practical limit to the maximum number of trainees of about 30 so pre-booking is essential.)
